2020 Insanity Fab Winter Challenge Prep
Myself, Snowracer and the Welfare Duty made it into the Race, so figured that there was a couple of us going we could start a thread on prep and the race I'll keep this updated as I go through the truck and hopefully others will to,

Re: 2020 Insanity Fab Winter Challenge Prep
Finally got my junk cleaned off from the last comp in July and brought into the shop. The list is long of things that need to be done with new trans case being at the top of it. My buddy dropped a TH400 out of his plow truck so I could go racing. to that guy!
Dropped the skid plate and about 10pds of mud still in there. Man I love mud
The rig mud from Highriders is just plain nasty and peeled a bunch of my paint off, even the gold stuff...
Among other things on the list:
-T-case range shaft
-new front u-joints
-window safety nets
-new "race" windshield
-new beadlocks
-repair front ram mount as its dicked again
-fluid changes
-nut bolt everything
-re-charge shocks/bumps
-and 50 other things that will come up

My mobile nitrogen charging setup should be complete in the next day or so if you want to cross that off the list

Re: 2020 Insanity Fab Winter Challenge Prep
Dammit. Never thought of that. Before I quit the outfield we had a big shelf full of pipe fittings that couldn’t be used because there was no tracking numbers on them. Supposed to throw them out but we were to lazy to do it. Man I could have fabbed bumpers and roll cages for days.......Scott Cee AKA 2drx4 wrote: ↑Wed Oct 23, 2019 5:30 pmSo pipe elbows and butt welds then?

Got the front end pulled apart and making notes of things that need to be repaired..
Scraped out some more mud from the under side
Also probably will mount up my back motor panel on each side for the race
