Re: 2020 Insanity Fab Winter Challenge Prep
New glass installed without center rubber seam. Got them to just glue it so I can run a set of wipers. Have wiper arms all built and installed waiting on wiper motor assembly to show up
I swapped water pumps with mine, as it was an aluminum high flow edlebrock unit. Napa didnt have any gaskets. Was lazy and just used RTV and it shit out and started leaking. So pulled it all apart again and installed gaskets that I had to make because they still didnt have any...

Re: 2020 Insanity Fab Winter Challenge Prep
Got all the centers put together and offset set up. Just need to fully weld them out
With them all together I wanted to test fit the insert to see if I could get the halves to seat and tire to take air. Aird them up to 10pds no problems and with the split insert made mounting a breeze, as Ive heard the the PVC ones can be a real pain to get into the tire.
Little height gain as these rims are an Inch narrower. But the other tire is at 8psi and mounted on the truck.
After that I disassembled the rim to see what condition the insert was in, I didnt get pics but it was wadded up pretty bad. every gap between the stringers was pushed in 1/2". Will fix them up add a few more stringers and narrow them up from 6.750" to 6.500" and rock it. Also the rim weighted in at 71pounds before welding of the centers. Not too bad as my current wagon wheels with beadlocks are at least 60pds and Lifting the tire with the H1 doesnt feel much different than my other ones

That came out really nice. I'd say they did a surprisingly good job of that.
The wheels look sweet too, and they should definitely hold up.

Yeah Im super happy with the glass. I was going to go with Margaurd ad a cutout across, but was quoted over $1000 to do it. Hell NO. So went with glass again.Scott Cee AKA 2drx4 wrote: ↑Mon Dec 30, 2019 1:48 pm

Looks like I won’t be able to make the show in person, was hoping to drive down. Hopefully you guys all get your stuff running well. Good luck.

If you don't need them for the crawlers you'll need them for the trailers.pointsnorth wrote: ↑Fri Jan 03, 2020 9:04 am So does this mean I don’t need to bring my tire changing tools

I’ve seen the welfare duty with a front tire missing and a third place trophy. Must have been rough by all the trucks on their lids and everyone still hiding.

They're all too hungover or busy crying about what they broke to reply.
