Instagram builds

Post by Scoobienorth »

Just figured since most of the cool build are on Instagram and it integrates so well here might be cool to share some different builds. This van is going on 63x30 floatation tires. He has an excursion on 54” boggers to.

Any instagram link posted here will automatically embed as an Instagram post. To get the link click the three dots by the header of the Instagram post and then select "copy link".

I have no idea what happens if you do this in Tapatalk because I don't use it though. :rasta:

These Russian Suzuki Jimny’s on yota axles and Russian low pressure floatation tires are another favorite of mine. I’d love to copy something like this

Might be worth talking to these guys. Stonetusk offroad out of Edmonton I believe. He brings in the big 53” ones already. There’s a sand tire company that makes a wide low pressure 35 as well in the USA

Its funny I see this after having a conversation with one of my customers about him suggesting building a overlanding samurai. I laughed and told him its more like backpacking then overlanding when you own a samurai lol

I think for a sami to work over landing you definitely need to be organized and it’s definitely more like back packing. This guy seems to get around pretty well in South Africa with his new jimny on 2” lift. I think now days people worry to much about building the ultimate everything instead of just getting out and making sure with whatever you got. I hear people up here saying they need all these big build parts before going to Moab.

I wonder if that's a reasonable price/markup or if they could be imported for less?

Going thru this guys build has definitely given me ideas about how to keep my cab in the buggy built more intact and stop cutting it up.

This guys pushing wj way beyond anyone else. He has built coil spring retainers so the coils don’t fall away. Went beyond what all the conventional long arms could function at. Now he’s playing with air bags on the trailing arms.
