The future of clean burning diesels

Post by Johnny5 »

:headbang: :headbang: :headbang:
Years ago I complained that the egr system what an idiotic way to deal with emissions, the ideal of clean fuel clean air clean oil in an engine is basics in my opinion.
Yet here we are taking perfectly clean air and throwing burnt and unburnt cooled but not cold exhaust back in through the intake... well this is what happens when a simple valve guide seal goes.

Check out 4wd actions video on YouTube catch cans and egr explained in detail. Wonder why that stuff doesn’t come on there from the factory.

I’ll look into em.
Also kept hearing that Cat had a way to meet emissions without after treatment with pretreatment but have a feeling it’s a myth

Cat was full of shit they had the worst aftertreatment going. They claimed to not have "egr" but in fact just took the exhaust from after the dpf not a bad idea so much as a terrible execution. And when their stuff wouldnt meet emissions they bought carbon credits to limp it along.
