Had to modify the rims as they will work on the rears or on a newer IFS rig with out locking hubs but not a solid axle Good thing I know a guy with a mill as I would have been super pissed. The website description does not say it necks down for a small cap.

Finally found a AN fitting that was the correct degree of bend for my trans cooler lines but when it got here it was too small for the rubber lines.. So again to the mill to modify a $50 fitting to turn it into as close as I could get to a push lock barb with the tooling I have for my mill
It took some head scratching to figure out how to hold it with out crushing it in the vice but also hold it snug enough so it didn’t move.
Used the vice grips to hold onto the rotating part of the fitting I was machining off since the oring friction wasn’t enough to stop it from spinning Turned out not bad and should work with a good hose clamp

Trans temp sender in the return line. Bottom of the sender is just proud a little bit into the straight through section of the Tee Slowly getting some things done on it when I have time on days off

Solid bojang making that fitting work.

I would mill aluminum blocks to mount places and tap for "standard" fittings and hold whatever shit needs to be held before I made some unholy abortion of one off fittings.

Just curious as to why? It would take more time and then you have more points for it to leak not including any adapters to go to AN lines, not to mention the weird fluid flow problems where the 2 drilled holes would meet for the angle of that fitting as it is a 135* fitting. Yes it’s not the easiest thing to replace on the trial but there should never be a problem with that fitting apart for maybe the hose coming loose from a loose hose clamp

I figure OEM brake fitting blocks are tried and true. Might as well copy that but bigger. Cheaper and you get peace of mind knowing that if you do fuck something up it's at least some semblance of serviceable. Something might need to be re-routed to avoid the hard bend.

Been slowly working on it while working on others projects…

Got the fuel cell hold down all welded togeather and finished up finally. Reinforced the corners and the bolt holes as the base is 4 pieces welded togeather in the corners and using counter sunk bolts to bolt it down.

Then worked on the mounts, top is second attempt and bottom is the first attempt that failed miserably.

The second attempt looks pretty legit.
