Cut off wheel attack
Cut off wheel attack
Using a 4.5in grinder with a cut off wheel. It kicked back and got me. Few inches to left and it would have been real bad. Had face shield, earmuffs on. Could have used an leather apron. Was only using one hand on grinder, other holding work piece. Vice or a clamp on work, two hands on machine might have been better.

Re: Cut off wheel attack
Grinders are brutal when they attack. I bound a cut Off wheel up and broke the blade. Took it off the face shield and both shoulders cutting fenders on my wj. Got lucky I was wearing heavy stuff

Yeah not cool. Grinder can be your worst enemy at times, but it sure does make my welds look better!

I've got a lot better about keeping the guards on them over the years. Haven't cut myself too bad in a while... *knock on wood*
