Finished up the exhaust for now, Had to do just a basic dump before the rear axle, as there is no room to snake it by the rear diff with the added truss and low stance. But I wanted to keep it tucked up as high as possible so had to modify the muffler to clear the rear upper link mount.
And welded a patch and painted
and got the rest sectioned together, I usually just get the muffler shop to do a length of pipe with a bunch of 90/45/22.5* bends and cut what I need. I needed it to jog over a bit so I could still remove the upper link bolt, but other then that, pretty basic bitch.

Another bumper in a box. I was quite happy with the front so decided to give the rear a try as well. I had to use a different company as JCR offroad doesnt make a rear diy bumper kit for the ZJ. Went with DIY Offroad Products. After getting it together, there's things I like, and dislike, one being the instructions. They were terrible, none of the pieces were marked, and no clarifications on how to assemble the pieces, as in weld seems on top or beside each other. Anyways I just looked at pictures and pieced it together, then realized it was wrong and redid it

Building the side wings was where the instructions got really vague. Not to thrilled on the tire carrier mount but will work with it. There wasnt enough clearance to get the nut in on the bottom so spun it down on the lathe, which is where instructions could help. Obviously the top plate needed to be welded on top, not inside the seam. But then you would have a full weld seam down the side wing that would need to be buffed smooth. I welded it inside which lowered it by 3/16" but then its a clean line on the out side...if that makes any sense at all. While I was there I added a grease ally for the bolt.

Fully welded the center section and got the side wings tacked and started on the tire carrier.It also has another piece that's 45'd down to the main just didn't have it in yet.
I changed a few items on the carrier to bring the tire closer in and angled it to try to match the body line better.
Pretty much where Im at with the bumper ATM. I need to fully weld out the wings and add some gussets to help stiffen it up. I also put together the rear drive shaft but didn't get any photos apparently. Its a FORD front shaft with a 1350 CV that I just shortened to fit.Building Junk-Wheeling Junk-Breaking Junk

those bumper kits can be frustrating ive done three kits from coastal off road.

Looks way better with the tire angled to match on those things, good call on that.

Got the bumper fully welded and cleaned up. I had a TMR tire swing spindle and got some extra persuasion to use it. So cut out the bolt hinge and got the TMR unit to work.
I removed the double shear section as it put all the torsion flex on the side wing and was really flimsy. Tied the spindle to the bottom section of the bumper and added some more tube for support. It’s pretty decent now.
